It is easy to miss what is happening in the performing arts in central Oklahoma. There are many organizations, advertising budgets are small, runs are short, media coverage is thin, and there is no single source of information. This site provides simple links to more than 100 artistic organizations in the area in order to increase their visibility, make ticket buying easier and increase audiences.
The site lists all the active performing arts organizations in Oklahoma City, Edmond, Chickasha, El Reno, Guthrie, Norman, Shawnee and Stillwater. I have not included youth or children's performances. The site is arranged by art form. Each entry includes the address and phone number of the organization. More importantly the organization title (in blue) is linked to their website with detailed information on shows and tickets.
This website is not linked to any other entity. It is free to those listed and to patrons. There is no advertising. The site uses only essential cookies. It does not use cookies for tracking, analytics or personalization. That may not be true for sites accessed through links.
There are about 2000 artistic performances per year in central Oklahoma. More than 50 organizations put on more than 200 stage productions, totaling more than 1000 performances per year. More than 40 music organizations play more than 300 concerts per year. In addition professional jazz groups play more than 500 shows per year.
